Project 52: Week 11

We are bit behind here at Project 52, but bear with us as life throws us around a bit.

Week 11: A night at home for me. When I’m home alone, I always look forward to indulging myself in a comfort meal. This is almost always noodle soup. Its just one of those childhood things - we always had maggi mee noodle soup when mum couldn’t be bothered to cook or we were home alone. I love it, its a comforting and somewhat nourishing meal! On this night, my power combination was fish balls, lots of different veggies - mushrooms, bok choy, snow peas,  french beans, a poached egg and half a cake of maggi noodles cooked in a miso soup base with fresh coriander and nori on top. Nom! Served with a bowl of jalapenos in soy sauce - a perfect replacement for those pickled green chillies you find in M’sia and my trusty TV remote.

Check out Jess’s morning at FushMush!

I recall the whole maggi mee thing! :D And calling it “mee” just illicit a “who?” from my friends. ;D I treat mee as a comfort food as well. Guess it’s all those fond childhood memories when we’re allowed to have it as a treat ;D No McDonalds then! ;D
