Project 52: Week 4

Week 4: Happy Chinese New Year! We had yum cha at Rhodes Phoenix on Saturday morning getting there even before opening time to secure a table.  The photo is of my traditional egg tart and chinese tea end. I seem to be the only one that likes the humble egg tart,  the others at the table favoured the mango pancake. There was also a dessert trolley with a giant watermelon bowl - no idea what that was!

I’ll take an egg tart over mango pancakes any day!

The last few times we have gone to Yum Cha with work, everyone has ended up with their own plate of mango pancakes before we order anything else - that is, two each!

I always eat one first to make sure I have room for it (Thanks mum!)

I usually manage to convince someone to share a plate of the egg tarts with me too though - I love it when you catch them still warm from the oven =)
