Timestones

Time has been marked by milestones lately. Alison’s hen’s night. Eric and Marnie’s wedding. Alison and Brent’s wedding. Last day at work. They have all been circled dates in my calendar that seemed so far away, and yet time swallowed us whole and spat us out. We had a great time at all the milestones. Surrounded by beautiful friends in gorgeous gardens and homes celebrating important moments in life. I tried really hard to focus and stay in the moment to appreciate each event as it happened so that it would forever stay a brilliant memory.

As we head out for a month of travel today, I am teaching myself to be mindful. I have a bad habit of looking too far ahead, over analysing when sometimes its just better to let go. To appreciate each moment, no matter how bad or crazy or amazing and wonderful for this time will never happen again.  Deep and meaningful for 8 in the morning…

Okay time to get clean and cut my hair. J wants a pie for breakfast, what does he think he’s on holiday’s or something?
