Yes!

On Friday night J proposed(!), and I said yes. We went out for dinner at Aqua dining at Milsons Point for my birthday supposedly. It has great views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House with beautiful food; freshly shucked oysters, roast wild barramundi fillet with basil gnocchi and champagne caviar sauce/ fillet of tasmanian salmon on yabby and lardon mash and chocolate indulgence. I was a bit tipsy and insistent on going on the Ferris wheel. Usually you have to share a carriage with other people to make a carriage of 4 so I knew something was up when J called me back when I tried to get into a carriage with other people. The ferris wheel stopped at the top, and J proposed with the beautiful ring we had picked out in Malaysia. Aww. We went back home via water taxi.

Yesterday I had my birthday party with the added bonus of being able to tell people face to face about our engagement. We went to the local lawn bowling club for a few games of bowls plus a bbq and cheap drinks! It was heaps of fun and amazing weather. Stan, the bowls organiser, was very amusing and red-carded Jess for calling him mean(well he was). All in all a fantastic day, and I’d definitely go back now that I am a member!

Wow, what a weekend…thanks to everyone for all the lovely wishes.
